Jarod Hall, AIA
Jarod is a licensed architect that has worked on projects across the United States and abroad. He has been working in the building and construction trades for 18 years. He has experience both from the building and design side as well as experience developing and owning. His current interests are in leveraging technology and systems thinking to make the Architectural design process more efficient and more fun.
Jarod received his Master of Architecture from University of Idaho. While there he developed a love for all aspects of design. He is passionate about exploring the relationship between all creative disciplines, and finding the common threads that unify socially relevant design in the context of today's complex and ever changing society. Mr. Hall is also passionate about the tools used to communicate design. His technical skill set includes expertise in Revit, SketchUp, CAD, 3D max, Rhino, and Photoshop.
He has been working in the Architectural Profession since 2006 and has been with VCBO since 2008. Jarod is skilled at bringing all of the disciplines that are involved in a project together to create a cohesive and coordinated set of drawings. He recognizes that each discrete step in the process is important to a beautiful, functional, sustainable building. He also assesses client requirements at the pre-programming phase, analyzes proposed programming matrixes, creates schematic space adjacency diagrams, and creates design development architectural drawings. He understands the importance of bridging any communication gaps that could impede comprehensive understanding of the complexities of each project as it unfolds. He recognizes that gaining insights into the way people who will be using the building use space is an essential component of the design process.
One of his favorite things about architecture is taking an initial concept, working through the technical aspects of the idea, and then seeing the final formation of that idea. Jarod particularly enjoys visiting VCBO job sites where he can watch a building that he has worked on as it takes shape.
